Dr. Mohammed Abu Aish

The club was founded by Dr Mohammed Abu Aish , A Vancouver Pediatrician, Emergency physician and An Assistant Professor of Medicine , who is as passionate about soccer as his passion of his work in medicine snd academia. Dr Mohammed’s philosophy is that, passion alone is not enough if not accompanied by hard work, dedication and patience. The story of the club over the last decade clearly shows his vision for the club and for soccer in the province in general.

Ajit Braich

Braich brings over 25 years of professional coaching experience to the FC tigers program. He has been TD for several Youth Soccer clubs, currently at the south Burnaby metro club, coached U-14 and U-15 Coastal soccer teams in the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Super Y League in B.C also was the head coach of Kwantlen university Men’s Soccer Team. He holds Canada Soccer Association National ‘A’ License as well as the AFC A license. His experience with the player development pathway, assisting them to play at the highest level possible will be Valuable to us with FC Tigers.

Ahmed Haroun

Ahmad has been with the club from the beginning, initially as a coach then as a club manager. He is a graduate of the University of Fraser Valley with a major in Accounting.
Ahmad played high level in Sudan and Canada which adds to his experiences communicating with the players and parents as a coach, manager and ex player.

Nasir Almawi

Nasir earned a marketing & international business degree from UNBC. He also accomplished his Master’s degree in the supply chain from the University of Windsor. While attending UNBC, he was a player on the UNBC soccer team. Nasser was a former player and captain of the Tigers when they won their first cup in Vancouver.

Ante Filipovic

The perfect manager any club wishes to have. Ante is the manager of our Mens premier team. Very thorough and organized manger with a great experience being a soccer player and a soccer dad himself.

Abdullah Shainan

Abdullah Shainan has been a part of the FC Tigers Club since the team was first founded. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Arts with a major in Psychology from Thompson Rivers University and completed his master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies with a major in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University in St.Catharines, Ontario. Abdullah has over 10 years of experience in the field of sports management. Abdullah is excited to bring his behavior analytic and psychological skills to improve the organization and the player’s performance overall.

Bechir Marouani

Bechir Marouani is a Professional Engineer in the shipbuilding industry and very engaged in an active lifestyle. Since younger age, Soccer has been a big part of his life. He played in the professional and amateur leagues. Also, he had the opportunity to coach local teams. Now he is a manager and a player with FC tigers

Abdur Rehman Alrai

Abdur Rehman Alrai has been working in British Columbia in the Accounting and Legal industry for the past 11 years. He is pursuing to become a Chartered Professional Accountant. In addition, he has passion for Information Technology and has assisted several organizations from ground up. He is a co-founder and administrator of the 5th Muslim Scouts of Canada Group, a Scouts Canada group.

 

Coaches


Adam Day

Adam Day is a UEFA A-Licensed Coach with international experience at the highest level in both Europe and North America. A native of London, United Kingdom, he has extensive experience in playing and coaching various levels in four different countries, including the United States of America and Greece. A former player with esteemed clubs including Charlton Athletic and AFC Bournemouth. He served as the U17 Head Coach at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC for 3-1/2 successful years.

Adam also worked for the premier league giants ARSENAL as one of their academy coaches in the United Kingdom and Greece. He also coached at the Vancouver USL 2 team TSS Rovers where many Tigers players spend the summer playing every year.

Adam has influenced many high-performance players through the years such as Alphonso Davies. He nurtured Alphonso’s early development when Alphonso has recently agreed to join the German powerhouse Bayern München, for an MLS record of $22m. In addition to having obtained the UEFA A-License, as well as a BSc Degree in Physical Education, Adam brings a holistic approach to both his thinking and his coaching. His core beliefs for development are hard work, discipline, and enjoyment, with the latter being paramount to success both in life and football. These pillars have been evident in each of his previous roles both in Europe and North America. Adam has also completed with distinction the UEFA Elite Formation Coaching Licence award (EFCL) with the FFF and is currently undertaking a CSA Child’s Coaching Licence.

We are so proud and honored to have Adam as the Head Coach for our FC Tigers Elite Men’s Soccer Program. Adam will oversee our top-tier premier team playing the top leagues in BC throughout the year.

Jonas-Worth

Jonas Worth joined the FC Tigers staff in the spring of 2022 after a 16-year career coaching at all levels of the NCAA, USports, CCAA, and USL. He will finish the Canada Soccer Association A License in March of 2022, holds a UEFA B License from England, and a Premier Diploma from United Soccer Coaches.

Since finishing a master’s specializing in sports psychology at UBC in 2010, Worth has worked with multiple teams and individual athletes to develop their mental skills at the elite level. The former goalkeeper is also a qualified diversity and inclusion consultant, most recently in the role of director with the You Can Play Project and, working with partners like the NHL, MLS, NFL, USL, and many others.

Born in New Brunswick, Canada, and raised in New York, Worth attended McGill University as an undergrad before playing in Brazil, Germany, the UK, and Canada.

Farivar Torabi

Farivar Torabi comes to Tigers Soccer Academy after a 17 year professional career in Iran and Thailand. During his time in Thailand Farivar also served as the head coach of Stamford University Women’s Team. Farivar obtained his C license from Iran, his Academy Coaching Certificate from Barcelona Innovation Hub Universitas and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. His soccer1on1.ca program is quickly becoming the premier technical skills training program in the Greater Vancouver region and his 1v1 method of teaching will be an added benefit for our academy players. His experience and wealth of knowledge will make a great impact on the academy players that will come under his guidance.

Joe Zupo

Joe brings with him a wealth of experience, both at home and abroad. His playing career led him to Queen’s University, where he was a 4x OUA All-Star and the youngest captain in Queen’s history. He also was a two-time Academic All Canadian. After getting his Bachelors of Education, Joe went on to a semi-professional and professional career at home and overseas. His accolades include a Canadian Soccer League championship, an NPL Tasmania league/cup double, two FFA Cup rounds of 16 appearances, and first division appearances in the New Zealand Premiership. Individually, Joe was named the Devonport Strikers Best and Fairest recipient for his play in 2016 as well as to their 2010-2020 Team of the Decade. He’s also a 3x League1 Ontario First Team All-Star and a member of the L1O All-Time Best XI. Along with his teaching degree, Joe is a qualified grassroots coach with over a decade of coaching experience. He’s worked in academies both home and abroad, including the Brisbane Roar satellite academy in Cairns.

Anthony Cristante

Canada National B licensed coach with additional license from Holland FA and Raymond Verheijen periodization. Coached for whitecaps youth and in Croatia for Hajduk split u19. Currently coaching BCSPL U13 for Fusion FC. Has many educational social media videos for new coaches seeking certification in Canada.

Darius Motazed

Darius joins us after 8 years in Germany playing at various levels in the professional and semi-pro games. Prior to that, he played Div 1 NCAA at Saint Francis University where he went on to set school records for shutouts and wins in a season. As a youth, he played his soccer on the North Shore before eventually moving to the Whitecaps Academy.

Along with his playing experience, Darius holds the Canadian Soccer Association C License. He hopes to be able to pass on his experience to help develop the players and help them achieve their sporting and personal goals.

Barson Man Ho Tin

Barson joined FC Tigers Vancouver with professional experience as a footballer and a coach in Asia. He is an AFC licensed coach under FIFA. Prior to his coaching career, he was a professional player based in Hong Kong with stints in the Premier League (Birmingham City youth program) and South Korea. He was a Hong Kong Premier League champion and Hong Kong National Team goalkeeper. He had International experiences including the AFC Champions League, AFC Cup, and Premier League Barclays Asian Trophy against Manchester City & Tottenham.

Barson became a professional goalkeeper coach after his footballer career. He coached Ecuador National Team goalkeeper Christian Mora, who was the starting 11 for Ecuador in the 2006 FIFA WORLD CUP and played in the Hong Kong Premier League. The team participated in AFC Champions League and AFC Cup. Barson was also the Head Goalkeeper coach at the City University of Hong Kong for both Men’s and Women’s teams. After his successful coaching career in Hong Kong, Barson joined 3 different China Super League clubs as goalkeeper coach for the U17 to Reserve team. Barson was the Head Goalkeeper Coach in Benfica Academy China.

In 2021, Barson joined Fusion FC BCSPL as goalkeeper coach and assistant coach for Fusion FC 05 boys in Canada. He also joined FC Tigers Vancouver as goalkeeper coach for the men’s team. He is the founder of “PROKEEPERTRAINING”, a professional goalkeeper training program to improve, help, and support goalkeepers in British Columbia to next level.

Alireza Kordi

Alireza is licensed in CSA C & Youth National Coaching, CSA B National, UEFA C Candidate, AFC C License (2014). Alireza is Assistant Coach – Capilano University Men’s Soccer Team currently. He is also BCSPL Head Coach (SURREY UNITED U16 Girls.)

Ali has previously worked with professional academies and teams and spent 8 years coaching at the youth and senior level in Iran. He carries B.S in Physical Education and Sport Science from Azad University (Tehran).

Othman Alamoudi

Othman is a diligent professional who has been concisely praised as efficient by his coworker and management. Over the course of his 2 years career in IT in the health industry, Othman has developed a skill set directly relevant to the website development role. Othman earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information systems from Washington State University back in 2019. Othman is excited to bring his IT skills to enhance the organization’s technology.

Lukas Strauts

Lukas Strauts is a prime example of ambition and professionalism. His drive for success is reflected in his advancements in multiple industries worldwide. From playing professional football as a goalkeeper, working for a subsidiary of Playtech in global live broadcasting, and later as a Business Development Manager for a reputable Soccer Academy; he knows how to get things done. Having previously attended the University of Victoria for Business, Lukas now brings his experience to the films and productions of FC Tigers Vancouver. His skills in management, marketing, and background in broadcasting bring a unique perspective to the Tigers Analysis team.

Yixuan Liu (Bobby)

Started working with the club in 2021 as one of the clubs’ videographers and YouTube manager.
